In 2009, three students from Hogeschool Utrecht decided to compete in the Formula Student competition. However, they soon found out that none of them would fit in the small formula student car. That is why they built a full circuit formula car, the Ignition as their graduation project.
After graduating, one of the group members pursued his study at Eindhoven University of Technology. Shortly afterward, InMotion was created by Albert Maas and 9 fellow students, with a dream to create the most innovative racing car in the world. Along came the dream of participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the perfect platform to showcase such thrilling technology as fully electric racing.August 2026
Track day Bilster Berg
At Bilster Berg, the team was able to test NGBP Evo under demanding track conditions. For the first time, ‘The Revolution’ could use the full power available from an NGBP battery pack, allowing the car to reach a top speed of 240 km/h on track. The theoretical top speed is 316 km/h, but this could not be reached due to the layout of the circuit.
During the track test, NGBP Evo showed stable performance under demanding driving conditions. The maximum temperature difference within the battery pack remained limited to just 3°C, while the maximum voltage difference between the cells was only 20 mV. In addition, the improved cooling system in the car achieved a flow rate of 36 litres per minutes per module

At 'Stop Charge Go!', InMotion showed that the Revolution could race, be charged and be driven again to all its partners at Raceways Venray.
