With the festive season on the way we have been working hard to offset the unproductive days, we will have during the vacation period. With our target, “the 24 hours of Le Mans”, a few years away there is no time to lose.
Our team is growing, and we don’t plan on stopping! On Wednesday the 28th we hosted the “Walk in Day” an event where we invited prospective team members to see exactly what it is like to work with us. We had students attend from the Technical University Eindhoven and Fonty's University of Applied Sciences of which studied many different subjects. After a few fun activities, the students were split into groups each one learning a different topic about electric automotive racing, they then participated in a short exercise to try and solve a common issue within that field.
Along with expanding our team, we are expanding our knowledge. The team has been conducting research to gain a better understanding of the characteristics of racing tires. This is done by performing tests using the tire measurement tower located in the AES lab of the TU/e. The measured data can then be used to set parameters of the magic tire formula (as composed by Hans B. Pacejka) allowing us to simulate how these tires would ultimately perform in real life.
